The second phase of SANY’s smart manufacturing industrial park based in the Liangjiang New Area was launched on July 1. Focusing on the production of cranes and other related machines, the second phase will occupy a total construction area of about 170,000 square meters and involve a total investment of 3 billion yuan ($448.2 million). It took SANY just nine months to complete construction on the first phase, which has a 200,000-sq m workshop producing excavators. As the new area’s first lighthouse workshop, the first phase has collectively generated 12 billion yuan in industrial output for Liangjiang.
