Shanghai GDP growth lags in H1

Shanghai reported a gross domestic product (GDP) of 661.2 billion yuan ($96.79 billion) in the first half of this year, up 5.6 percent year-on-year.

That is Shanghai's lowest GDP growth rate since 1992, and also 1.5 percentage points lower than China's average growth rate of 7.1 percent during the same period.
